2017
October 20, 2017: Jayne became the third of the four Kuzannahs to finish his AKC Championship! Presenting CH Tanzanite-Serenity's Enforcer NDD.
July 9, 2017: Peak qualified in Rally Advanced at the Roaring Fork Kennel Club - this was his third qualifying score so he is now: Tanzanite's Snowy Pikes Peak RA BN CGC TDOG. So proud of this young boy!!! And many thanks to the other half of the team, Ned & Cathy! His little "sister" Emmee from Winridge Kennel (Kim Giannone in Grand Junction) also picked up her first two Rally Novice legs. (Photo coming soon!)
June 11, 2017 - Today Bookie won Best of Breed in Vallejo, CA - so proud of this young dog! Owned by Carol Arbuthnot, Sapphires Bernese - her website is here. Carol is also Bookie's co-breeder, as she gave me his mother Hannah on a co-ownership.
June 8, 2017 - Just heard that Bookie was Select Dog at Woofstock!! He is from the Kai X Hannah litter born in 2015 - CH Sapphire and Tanzanite Million To One Odds. Congratulations Carol and Bookie, on 5 more points toward his GCH title!!
May 20, 2017: Finn - CH Tanzanite The Trouble With Tribbles CD BN RAE DD - qualified in Open Draft at the BMDCR Hula Haul to earn his Draft Dog title!! Finn and his owner Julia also started making progress on advanced draft titles the next day, with a qualifying Novice Draft run. So proud of this team!!
April 27, 2017: Finn - CH Tanzanite The Trouble With Tribbles CD BN RAE NDD - qualified in both Rally Advanced and Rally Excellent at the BMDCA National in Portland, OR - to finish his Rally Advanced Excellent title!! RAE requires ten "double Q's" in both Advanced and Excellent. Julia had carefully planned for Finn to earn his new title at our national - love to see a plan come to fruition!! (Photo by Dawn Gabig.)
April 26, 2017: Henley - GCHG Tanzanite Learning Curve CD RN NDD - won Best Opposite Sex in the Versatility Showcase at the BMDCA National Specialty in Portland, OR. The Versatility Showcase is a special conformation event that is limited to Berners that have qualified for Versatility Dog or Versatility Dog Excellent awards. This is the second year in a row that Henley was awarded BOS Versatility at the BMDCA National. As always, handled by Wendy Oelrich.
April 26, 2017: Henley and her brother Finn were both members of the winning Team Obedience team at the BMDCA National Specialty in Portland. From left to right: Marquis, Henley, Romeo and Finn. All four members of our team have earned the Versatility Dog award - our theme was "Colorado Working Dogs" and they all entered the ring pulling their carts. It was so much fun! April 25, 2017: So proud of Jayne! He earned his Novice Draft Dog title at the BMDCA National in Portland, OR - so he is officially Tanzanite-Serenity's Enforcer NDD. He is the third out of his littermates to earn a draft title!! (Photo by Paula Henning.)
February 17, 2017: Millie - GCH Tanzanite's Once In A Sapphire Moon - has been shown 3 times in 2017. At the Peak to Peak Working Dog specialty in Aurora in February, she was Select Bitch for 5 GCH points, to finish her AKC Grand Champion title. The next day, at the Plum Creek Kennel Club morning show, she was Best Opposite Sex. At the Plum Creek afternoon show, Millie won her first Best of Breed - at 22 months of age - over 35 other Bernese Mountain Dogs entered.. Expertly presented by Wendy Oelrich.
